Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often about our watches, the buying process, and how we work. If your question isn't here, get in touch at info@watchreserve.co.uk.

Authenticity & Condition

Are all of your watches authentic?

Yes. Every timepiece offered by Watch Reserve is put through a multi-point authentication process before it reaches our inventory. We inspect the movement, case, dial, bracelet, and serial number, and cross-reference against manufacturer archives where possible. If a watch does not pass, we do not list it.

What condition are the pre-owned watches in?

We source carefully and only list pieces in excellent condition. Each listing includes detailed photography and a written condition summary so you know exactly what you're buying. If you'd like to see additional photos or video of a specific reference, contact our team and we'll arrange it.

Do the watches come with box and papers?

Whenever possible, yes. The presence and condition of original box, booklets, warranty cards, and service documentation is clearly stated on each product page. Full sets command a premium and we always preserve what comes with the piece.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. Every watch sold by Watch Reserve comes with a 24-month warranty against mechanical faults, giving you peace of mind long after the purchase. Cosmetic wear and damage caused by misuse are not covered. Full terms are available on request.

Buying & Payment

How do I buy a watch from Watch Reserve?

You can purchase directly through our website by adding a watch to the cart and checking out, or contact us for a personal consultation if you'd prefer to speak with a specialist first. We're happy to answer any questions before you commit.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, along with bank transfer for larger purchases. For orders over a certain value, bank transfer is typically the preferred method. Contact us if you have a specific requirement and we'll accommodate it where possible.

Can I reserve a watch before buying?

Yes. If you're considering a specific piece and need a short window to make your decision, we can hold it for you with a refundable deposit. Get in touch with the reference you're interested in and we'll discuss the options.

Can I view a watch in person before purchasing?

Absolutely. We operate from Canary Wharf, London, and welcome appointments for clients who'd like to view a piece in person. Contact us to arrange a time that suits you.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

We ship throughout the United Kingdom with free, insured, tracked delivery, and internationally via DHL Express and FedEx. Full details are available on our Shipping Policy page.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 working days after payment is confirmed. UK standard delivery takes 2 to 3 working days, UK express is next-day, and international express typically takes 3 to 7 working days depending on destination.

Is my watch insured during transit?

Yes. Every shipment is fully insured for the value of the watch while in transit. Orders over £500 also require a signature on delivery, so the piece cannot be left unattended.

Will I be charged customs duties on international orders?

International orders (outside the UK) may be subject to local import duties, taxes, and customs charges. These are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. Please check your country's import policies before placing an order.

Selling & Part Exchange

How do I sell my watch to Watch Reserve?

Head to our Sell Your Watch page and share a few details about your timepiece. A specialist will review your submission and come back to you with a fair, market-informed offer, typically within one working day.

What's the difference between selling and part exchange?

Selling means we buy your watch outright and pay you directly. A part exchange is a trade: we value your current piece and apply that value against any watch in our inventory, so you upgrade in one transaction rather than two.

How do you value a watch?

Our specialists benchmark your piece against live secondary-market data, recent comparable sales, and the specifics of your watch: reference, condition, box, papers, and service history. The more information you share, the more accurate the valuation.

Aftersales & Returns

Can I return a watch after purchase?

Yes. We operate a 14-day return window from the date you receive your watch. The piece must be returned in its original, unworn condition with all packaging and documentation. See our Refund Policy for the full terms.

What happens if something's wrong with my watch?

Contact us straight away at info@watchreserve.co.uk and we'll make it right. All watches come with a 24-month warranty covering mechanical issues, and our team will guide you through the next steps.

Do you service watches?

While we don't operate a service workshop ourselves, we work with trusted horologists and can point you in the right direction for a full service, polish, or bracelet work. Get in touch if you'd like a recommendation.
